Jeff Swedberg AKA
"Sweds"
I grew up not far from Fergus
Falls in Grand Forks, North Dakota and got my radio education at Brown
Institute in Minneapolis, MN. I got my first job in radio in Sidney
Montana in 1986 working as both disc jockey and news director. After
sowing my wild oats in Las Vegas for a few months I then made career
stops in Brainerd, MN in 1988, Cambridge, MN in 1989, Forest Lake, MN
in 1990, and Detroit Lakes, MN in 1995 all before settling in the
community of Fergus Falls, MN for the last 13 years.

I have done just about
everything you can do in the radio business from News, Sports, and
Announcing to producing award winning production, programming two
stations at Lakes Radio, and producing hundreds of Sports broadcasts
per year. My wife Brenda and two kids, Katie and Brett are happy to be
a part of this community. Brenda grew up in a farm family just down the
road in Barrett, MN so this is like home for all of us. I am very proud
of both my kids as they are highly involved in the community, in
sports, and the church. I couldn't have hoped for a better place to
live and work.
I love country music. It simply
has the best fans and the best stars and working on the KJ Country Club
with Elly for the past three years has been a dream. She makes the show
tick with her sense of humor and uplifting charm. It gives me a reason
to come to work every day and I hope a reason for you to listen every
morning. I also am the Afternoon Drive announcer on Z103 "The Heart of
Rock"
I am also the Sports Director
at Lakes Radio. I produce over 250 sports game broadcasts per year and
announce over 80 per season. I have been involved with both the
Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comet football team and the Fergus Falls
Otters Hockey teams the most. I still can't believe that they pay me to
attend sporting events. There couldn't be a more perfect job.
Favorite Movies: The Rock, The
Program, The Sixth Sense, Young Frankenstein, Stripes, Meatballs.
Favorite TV Shows: Two and a Half Men, CSI, Ultimate Fighter, Sopranos,

Favorite Teams: Vikes, Twins, Wild, Hillcrest Lutheran Academy
Football, Fergus Falls Otter Hockey, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Football.UND
Fighting Sioux Hockey!!!
Other Favorites: Vanilla, Prime Rib, Dusk, Autumn, Cheesecake,
Saturdays, Frosted Flakes.
